9 BASIC STEPS TO A PAVER INSTALLATION IN CALGARY
To ensure a long-lasting paver installation, there are several key steps to follow.
- DEPTH OF BASE: Ensure an adequate depth of the base to prevent excessive movement of the pavers.
- FILTER FABRIC: Use a heavy-duty filter fabric to encase the base material.
- BASE MATERIAL: Use 3/4” processed gravel as the base material and avoid stone dust.
- COMPACTION: Properly compact the base material. COMPACTION, COMPACTION,COMPACTION
- SETTING BED: Apply a setting bed of 1”-11/2” of sand over the compacted base material.
- INSTALL PAVERS: Install the pavers directly on top of the setting bed.
