Transforming WinSport Calgary Landscapes for a Sustainable Future with A Green Future's Drainage System Network Installations

Recently, we were called to WinSport in Calgary to provide our drainage system expertise. The challenge was to create a sustainable solution that would collect and direct water away from the property, prevent flooding, and promote healthy plant growth. Our solutions included the installation of French drains, underground downspout extensions, catch basins, dry-well drainage systems, pop-up emitters, and rock landscaping.

One of the main challenges we faced was the low grade of the surrounding area. The low grade created a risk of flooding, as water would accumulate around the property. To address this issue, we installed a rock landscaping area that served both as an aesthetic feature and an important drainage element. The rock landscaping area was designed to capture water and direct it towards the French drain system, which would then direct the water away from the property.

In addition to the rock landscaping area, we also installed catch basins to ensure that water was properly collected from the gutter and downspout extensions and directed towards the French drain system. The catch basins are designed to capture and hold water until it can be safely directed towards the French drain system. This helps to prevent flooding and promote healthy plant growth.

To ensure that the system was working properly, we also installed a dry-well drainage system and pop-up emitters. The dry-well drainage system is designed to hold water until it can be safely directed towards the French drain system. The pop-up emitters are designed to direct the water away from the property and prevent flooding.

During our trenching work, we encountered a few unexpected challenges. We hit sprinkler lines and discovered a broken 12-volt line for the landscaping lighting. Our team of experts quickly repaired the lines and tested the system to ensure proper functionality. Our experience and expertise allowed us to quickly resolve these issues and continue with the project.

At the end of the project, we placed the grass back on top of the French drain to ensure that the area remained functional and visually appealing. Our solutions transformed the WinSport Calgary landscapes into sustainable and functional outdoor spaces, and we are proud to have played a role in creating a better future for Calgary's landscapes.
